Torque and horsepower engine ratings indicate how much work an engine can do and how fast the work can be done. The work to be done by a race engine is moving the vehicle around the track and is a function of torque. The engine's horsepower determines how fast the vehicle is moved around the track.
Some of the energy produced by the combustion of the fuel-air mixture is consumed by friction along the way from the combustion chamber to the flywheel where torque and horsepower are measured. The more energy that escapes consumption, the more torque and horsepower there is available for moving the car.

In these tests, engines delivered more torque and horsepower when lubricated with AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Synthetic Motor Oil than they did when lubricated with other race oils, indicating Series 2000 is the superior friction-reducer.
Most engine builders, including those who ran tests 1 and 3, find a two to four horsepower and two to four foot-pounds torque increase with Series 2000. Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil Peoria, Illinois AMSOIL Serie 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil provided an average increase of 2.22 horsepower and 2.75 foot-pounds torque over the horsepower and oil in dynamometer testing performed on a 1996 Ford Taurus by the Dyno-Pro Diagnostic/Performance Center.

You don't have to be a great salesman if you really believe in the AMSOIL products, so the first step is to use AMSOIL Synthetic products in your own vehicle. Here is some of my personal stories:
I took Mobil 1 out of my cars and could tell a difference. They all run smoother, more power get better gas mileage and it stopped a rear main seal leak on my 93 Mustang.
My daughter has a 2002 Blazer. She went up 3 mpg after a total fluid change from Mobil 1 to AMSOIL Synthetics. Cost: $104.
My 1997 Chevy truck, 305 automatic went from 17.5 mpg to 18.9mpg after a complete change over from Mobil 1. cost: $108. And it smoothed out the transmission like a new one. By the way it has 240,000 miles on it, never had the valve covers off.
My boss has a 1995 Chevy truck, 350 automatic he picked up 3 mpg with just an Engine oil change to AMSOIL 5w30. He had never ran Synthetics before.
My uncle has a new Sebring with a V-6. We put 5w30 in it when he visited me, on the way home his thermostat stuck and the car overheated so bad the motor died, that's pretty hot. I used to live in a cold climate area and on a -15 degree day my 78 MonteCarlo would start up like it was 70 degrees outside.
A friend that had a engine machine shop, his son raced a late model with a 355 chevy. On a dyno test the engine picked up 8 hp with nothing but a change of oil from Valvoline 60 wt to AMSOIL 60 wt.

That would be 8 oil changes to go 25,000 miles at a cost of $231.92, not including your time and trouble for 8 trips to the oil change wonderland. I call it wonderland because it’s a wonder what kinds of motor oil and filters they actually put in your vehicle. If you change oil and filter yourself cost $15.60 times 8= $124.80.
Now consider using AMSOIL Synthetic Motor Oil with our 25,000mile/1 year warranted oil and filter: 6 quarts 5w-30 or 10w-30,an Ea0 oil Filter $51.00 per year . Your covered for one year or 25,000 miles.

Some people say that you can print up what ever you want, not so, Mobil will sue the drop of a hat if they think another oil company is pulling shenanigan's. Mobil sued Castrol after Castrol changed from PAO base stocks to recracked petroleum in their SynTec and kept advertising "Full Synthetic".
Pennzoil sued Mr. Amatiuzo over the name AMZOIL in the 70's. So I think it would be safe to say the AMSOIL Performance Tests speak for themselves!!!
And by the way allot of people want to know why you can't buy AMSOIL at Wal Mart. When Mr. Amatuizo started the company he didn't have the funds to do a big advertising campaign so he engaged independent distributors and promised them he wouldn't desert them when business got going.
